Privacy statement

Updated 5 June 2026

person.music is built to be anonymous by design. You can listen without an account, and we keep as little data as possible. This statement explains what we collect and why, in plain language.

Who we are

person.music is operated by Ita Vero, the future building company, based in Belgium. Ita Vero is the data controller for the limited data described here.

What we collect, and why

A device identifier. A small random value is kept on your device so the service functions and your session stays consistent. It is not an account, not your name, and not contact details, and we don’t use it to identify you personally.

Limited technical & security data. Like any web service, we process basic technical information — including your IP address — to run the service reliably and to keep it secure and free from abuse. We don’t use it to build a profile of you.

Your email — only if you contact us. If you get in touch or make a request, we use the email you provide to reply, and nothing else.

A session marker — only if you enter an access code. It’s kept on your device so you stay signed in for that session. It holds no personal data, and you can clear it at any time from the “About” panel.

Legal basis

We rely on our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the service for the device identifier and the technical and security data, and on your own action of contacting us for any email you choose to share.

What we don’t do

No accounts, no advertising or analytics trackers, no profiling, and no selling or sharing of your data with third parties for their own purposes. Beyond running and protecting the service, we don’t track you.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes above. Any email you send is kept only as long as needed to handle your request, and is deleted on request.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you, and you can object to or restrict its processing. Clearing your browser or app storage removes the on-device data described above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.

To make a request, contact Ita Vero at yes@itavero.co.

Changes

We may update this statement as the product evolves. The “Updated” date above always reflects the current version. See also our Terms of use.
